Job description
This contract role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile 2-3 year project in an esteemed environment.
Suitable candidates must be British Nationals due to the level of security clearance required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Performing maintenance and refitting tasks
2. Conducting regular inspections to ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems
3. Disassembling and reassembling various mechanical components
4. Using technical manuals and schematics to identify and rectify mechanical issues
5. Working closely with engineering teams to implement effective solutions
6. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety and security regulations
7. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
8. Operating within a high-security environment, adhering to all relevant protocols
Job Requirements:
9. Proven experience in mechanical fitting, specifically within the shiprepair sector
10. Qualified as a mechanical fitter
11. Understanding of submarine systems and repair techniques
12. Ability to work in a security-sensitive environment; must be a British national
13. Security Clearance (SC) preferred, though candidates will be considered for clearance if not already held
14. Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as required
15. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
16. Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

Rates and Hours:
Umbrella rates (PAYE also available):
22. Day Shift - £32.50/h
23. Back Shift - £40/h
24. Sunday and Weekday Night Shift - £41/h
25. Sunday Back/Night Shift - £44.50/h
26. Hours - Min. 50 per week (unlimited likely)
27. Contract length - 2-3 years
