Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Domiciliary care team in providing exceptional care in people's homes around Carlisle, Copeland, Allerdale and surrounding areas. The Deputy Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall management of care staff and service users, ensuring that service users receive the highest standard of care while fostering a positive and safe environment in their homes. This position requires strong leadership skills, a background in a senior caring role, and the ability to effectively supervise staff.
Duties
* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care agency, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
* Supervise and support nursing staff in delivering high-quality care to service users.
* Develop and implement personalised care plans for service users, ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Conduct regular assessments of service users' health and wellbeing, coordinating with healthcare professionals as necessary.
* Manage medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
* Foster a positive working environment by providing leadership, guidance, and support to staff members.
* Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills in senior care.
* Maintain effective communication with service users, families, and external agencies regarding their care.
Experience
* Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a domiciliary care setting
* Background in nursing or healthcare management is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with dementia care practices and experience working with elderly populations is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and compassion towards service users and their families.
* Knowledge of care plans, medication administration procedures, and relevant legislation governing senior care services is essential.
