1. To support the shift manager in managing the shift team and providing cover for manager absence.
2. To begin your management journey
3. To maintain, repair and support the equipment detailed within the agreed Dematic scope of contract on the Customers site.
4. Primarily ensuring delivery to both Dematic and the Customer’s expectations with the aim of achieving KPI targets at all times.
5. Undertake AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with the quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals
6. To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices
7. Diagnosis of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and subsequent repairs
8. Prioritise system faults
9. Compliance with Health & Safety legislation at all times
10. Ensure quality of output at all times
11. To accurately record all work undertaken
12. Involvement in continuous improvement and enhancement opportunities
13. Maintain product flow at all times
14. Ensure on-site spares are kept to optimum levels
15. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations
16. Adherence to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company
17. ONC in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
18. IOSH working safely (desirable)
19. Experience in previously managing a team (desirable)
20. Foundation qualifications in people management (desirable)
21. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
22. A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings
23. Basic understanding of control systems and problem solving techniques
24. Basic understanding of PLC equipment
25. Working at height experience and willingness
26. Previous experience of working with various conveyor systems
27. Good level of PC literacy
28. Understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules
29. Working knowledge of FEM and BS standards governing the automated warehouse industry
30. Have a continuous improvement mentality
