This position is part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering all meetings, events, and cricket operations at The Guildford Pavilion. The Events Assistant will play a key role in supporting event preparations, general administration, and day-to-day operations, ensuring that every event runs smoothly and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Set up and break down event spaces, including furniture, equipment, teas, coffees, and refreshment stations.
* Liaise with the Events Manager/Executive and follow Banqueting Event Orders (BEOs).
* Be a key point of contact for suppliers and caterers during events.
* Manage bar operations: serving guests, replenishing stock, and ensuring compliance with alcohol licence agreements.
* Check venue presentation, including car park, entrance, reception, and toilets, to ensure readiness for each event.
* Attend event briefings
* Assist with procurement and purchase orders
* Open and lock down rooms and buildings used for events.
* Assist with general office duties
* Assist the general manager and event manager with ad-hoc tasks

About You

* A proactive, practical team player with strong communication skills.
* Enthusiastic and ambitious, with a genuine interest in building a career in events.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing needs.
* 70% office hours but full flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
