We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Primary Care Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Swinfen Hall, a category C men's Prison and Young Offenders Institution located in Staffordshire.
Hours
19.5 hours a week – working two days a week. Flexible on days and 1 x 07.30-19.30 and 1 x 07.30-17.30 per week. No weekends.
Salary
This position is part time; you will receive an annual salary up to £58,012 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams, with two direct reports.
* Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
* Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high‑quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
* Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
* Coach, line‑manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute to audits, governance and to developing and reviewing clinical/non‑clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
* Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Adult current professional qualification (NMC)
* Existing line management experience with evidence of team management
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working
* Student nurse mentorship
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
