We are transforming our L&D team and we have created a new role for a Learning Solutions Designer to develop engaging online and blended learning solutions for our Manufacturing and Distribution teams.

As a Learning Solutions Designer, you will work in collaboration with stakeholders from across Manufacturing, Distribution, Health & Safety and Quality to translate business needs into engaging learning solutions.
You will design content for facilitator-led, online and blended learning solutions and work with the learning delivery team to raise overall standards in learning design, using the latest methodologies. You will be an expert in your field and in-touch with the latest thinking in learning design and technologies.
Key Accountabilities and Measures
1. Works with the L&D Partner, Stakeholders and Business Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to create, co-create and curate learning solutions that enable the Manufacturing & Distribution plans
2. Designs creative and engaging digital learning content for online and blended delivery methods, meeting the learner and business needs. Ensures solutions are executed with excellence via Train the Trainer interventions.
3. Collaborates with Learning Delivery Specialists, Trainers and SME’s to apply principles and standards that underpin the design of quality learning solutions to maximise learning impact.
4. Project manages the design and development of learning solutions, working with key stakeholders and 3rd party providers to ensure timeframes and deadlines are met
5. Facilitates the review and evaluation of learning solutions to ensure outcomes are being achieved and to identify improved and innovative ways of designing content to maximise learning transfer
6. Designs communications and collateral that promotes the development of a learning culture within Operations.
7. Manages the governance of learning content and curriculums from Business areas with the Learning Management System
8. Takes responsibility for staying current in industry trends and learning technologies, sharing ideas and best practice to raise the design capability across the team
Essential Ingredients
9. Experience in turning high level design briefs into practical, high quality and cost-effective learning solutions, influencing business stakeholders in what good learning looks like
10. Understands the learning theories and principles that underpin the design and use of face to face and digital learning technologies
11. A genuine passion and ability to create innovative e-learning that makes a difference
12. Active interest and understanding of trends in learning technologies and ability to bring in new and innovative thinking
13. Excellent written communication and design skills with an ability to translate ideas into visually engaging content
14. Experience of using SCORM / AICC standards with Learning Management Systems – ideally SAP Success Factors
15. Proficiency in one or more authoring tools, ideally Articulate Storyline / Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate
16. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud or other digital design tools (preferable)
