Part-Time Outdoor Learning & Animal Support Worker
We are looking for a motivated, caring, and practical person to join our team, supporting young people through outdoor learning, animal care, and nature-based activities.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be working alongside our young people to build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy learning in the fresh air. Activities will include horse care, working with other animals, horticulture, and forest-based projects.
Main responsibilities:
Supporting young people with horse care, animal handling, and outdoor learning
Helping to deliver horticulture and forest school-style activities
Encouraging confidence, independence, and teamwork through hands-on experiences
Providing a calm, supportive presence and adapting to individual needs
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience or confidence around horses, animals, and/or outdoor education
Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons
Is enthusiastic, reliable, and patient with young people
Can work flexibly on a part-time basis
This role would suit someone who loves animals, nature, and practical outdoor work, and who wants to make a positive difference in young people's lives.
Duties
* Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
* Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods
* Plan exciting sessions and keep accurate records of attainment
* Comply with health and safety
