Closing date: 10th March.
The role
As Senior Manager, Market Access here at Illumina you will play a pivotal role in shaping the reimbursement landscape for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) across Northern Europe. Operating at the intersection of healthcare policy, payer strategy and diagnostic innovation, you will lead Illumina’s regional efforts to secure sustainable access for our technologies across the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic markets. You will collaborate closely with Commercial, Health Economics, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, Regulatory and Marketing teams to influence payer pathways, deliver evidence strategies, and support major product launches. This is a highly strategic role with significant visibility, responsibility, and impact on Illumina’s mission to improve human health by unlocking the power of the genome.
Employee Benefits
Illumina's employee benefits are industry‑leading and include: flexible time off, private medical insurance, compassion and care time off, leisure travel insurance, pension, employee stock purchasing program, volunteer time off, and much more!
Why you
You are an experienced Market Access leader with deep understanding of payer decision‑making, pricing, reimbursement and HTA processes in Northern Europe - particularly within England - paired with experience in at least one of Ireland or the Nordic markets. You thrive in roles where strategic influence, cross‑functional partnership and external engagement come together to create meaningful change.
You bring expertise in shaping reimbursement pathways for diagnostics, medical technologies or health technologies across multiple indications. You are confident navigating evolving healthcare systems, building strong payer relationships, evaluating policy impacts and championing evidence‑generation strategies that drive positive HTA outcomes.
With excellent communication, stakeholder‑management, and negotiation skills, you can influence without formal authority and create alignment across diverse teams. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in a Nordic language is a strong advantage.
Your background includes significant Market Access experience across both pre‑launch and in‑market products, ideally supported by a relevant advanced degree - although extensive practical expertise is equally valued. You are organized, collaborative, proactive and comfortable leading initiatives across multiple countries in a highly dynamic environment.
