Process Manufacturing Apprentice

Nufarm is now recruiting three new Process Manufacturing Apprentices at our manufacturing site in Wyke, Yorkshire!
Nufarm’s Apprenticeship Programme offers fantastic opportunities, including the chance to earn while you learn. You will gain valuable qualifications and experience that will open doors to a career in a world-class company.
During this 3-year apprenticeship, you will learn how a chemical plant operates according to Standard Operating Instructions, operate plant and equipment following Standard Operating Procedures, and maintain high standards of health and safety compliance.
You will observe the operation of plant, equipment, and services, report deficiencies promptly, and ensure all Process Documentation is completed correctly for all work carried out on shift.
Help us keep our environment safe by ensuring all protection systems are functioning correctly. Spot issues, report them immediately, and take action to resolve them. Maintain a clean workspace, monitor processes, take readings and samples, and report anything unusual.
Additionally, you will study for a technical and vocational qualification at college while gaining real-world work experience.

What do you bring?
We look for excellent communication skills, good knowledge retention, and the ability to interpret written and verbal instructions.
You should have excellent timekeeping and attendance, a positive attitude towards work and college, and good teamwork skills.
To qualify, you must have GCSEs grade 4 or above in English, Maths, and a relevant science subject.
What training will you receive?
The successful applicants will receive training delivered by TIRO, on-site via Teams, working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Process Manufacturing along with practical work experience.
What you need to know about the role
This workplace is a top-tier COMAH site involving chemicals with some dangerous properties. Strict H&S policies apply, and Personal Protective Equipment (provided) must be worn at all times.
Upon qualification, employment may require working shifts, including nights, days, and weekends on a rotational basis (2 days, 2 nights, four off for 7 weeks, then 18 days off).
You will attend an interview assessment day as part of the selection process.
