Finance Manager
Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to £45,000
Aztrum is pleased to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing construction business based in Leicester, delivering projects across multiple built environment and construction sectors. Known for their collaborative culture and commitment to quality, the business is continuing to expand and is now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the company’s financial operations.
This is a key position within the organisation, offering close collaboration with senior leadership and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities – Finance Manager
* Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and best practice
* Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
* Manage project-based cost tracking, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance across construction projects
* Work closely with Project Managers and Directors to provide commercial and financial insight
* Oversee payroll, invoicing, credit control, and supplier payments
* Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements, including VAT returns and statutory reporting
* Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors
* Review and improve financial systems, controls, and internal processes
Requirements – Finance Manager
* Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role
* Construction industry experience is essential
* Strong understanding of project-based accounting, cost control, and cash flow management
* Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across finance and operational teams
