Salary: £60,000 - 63,000 per year Requirements: Strong experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise or SaaS environments Excellent knowledge of relational databases and SQL Hands-on experience with MSSQL, Oracle, Sybase and/or MongoDB Proven experience in database performance tuning and query optimization Experience using DB monitoring and performance tools (e.g. Ignite or equivalent) Experience across Linux/Unix and Windows environments (Solaris exposure desirable) Ability to write shell scripts for Unix/Linux A track record of owning production issues in high-availability systems Experience working to SLAs in 24/7 environments Must be eligible to obtain SC clearance Responsibilities: Maintain and support customer databases in a 24/7 production environment Act as Tier 3-4 escalation for complex incidents and availability issues Analyse existing infrastructure and proactively improve performance and resilience Install, configure, and deploy systems into customer environments Support data migrations and system integrations Identify and implement automation, scripting, and process improvements Perform root cause analysis, owning issues through to resolution Collaborate closely with development and support teams Keep up to date with database technologies, tools, and best practices Technologies: Support Linux MongoDB Oracle SQL Unix Windows Office 365 Security More: We are working with a client looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Leicester, offering a hybrid work model.
