Contract: Zero-hours, with one fixed weekly hatchery day. Additional farm work is flexible, with occasional weekend cover as required.
About the role:
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our small but modern poultry hatchery and associated farm at JCB Farms Limited, based on the Wootton Estate near Farley.
This role involves a mixture of hatchery and general farm duties, working as part of a small team where high welfare standards, cleanliness, and attention to detail are essential.
What does this role involve day to day?
• Sorting, grading, and vaccinating chicks
• Pressure washing, cleaning, and maintaining high hygiene standards
• Bedding hen sheds and collecting eggs
• Carrying out some ground maintenance during the summer months
• Assisting with day-to-day farm tasks as required

We are looking for someone who:
• Has good attention to detail
• Takes pride in cleanliness and maintaining high standards
• Is practical, reliable, and able to work independently
• Is comfortable working in a farm environment
• Can work effectively as part of a team
