About The Role:Are you an experienced carpenter ready to take the next step? Max People is on the hunt for a Senior Carpenter to join a high-performing construction team in Ashburton. You'll lead a range of exciting commercial and residential projects while mentoring apprentices, ensuring quality, and keeping the site running smoothly. Wages: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience)Location: Mid Canterbury

What You'll Be Doing:
* Reading and interpreting construction plans
* Managing staff and allocating tasks on-site
* Training and mentoring apprentices
* Ensuring site policies and procedures are followed
* Communicating effectively with team members and clients
* Solving on-site construction challenges
* Leading health and safety on-site
What We're Looking For:
* Proven carpentry experience at a senior level
* Full set of hand and power tools
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Solid understanding of NZ building codes and safety standards
* Current Class 1 licence and reliable transport
* Valid Site Safe - we can help you get this
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
