Role: Management Consultant – National Security
Location: London, Bristol, Cheltenham
Mobility: Up to 100%
Working pattern: full-time or part-time
Career Level: Consultant
Clearance requirements: Applicants must hold current enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) clearance aligned to a National Security organisation.
Overview
As a member of our National Security team you will work on innovative projects across transformation, strategy and implementation for national security clients. You will collaborate with research partners and technology providers to drive value for citizens.
Responsibilities
* Work on transformation projects across our National Security clients
* Be the face of Accenture to the client, working with senior stakeholders to advise, challenge and coach as needed
* Develop a detailed understanding of your client’s business and drive issue‑based discussions grounded in a clear understanding of client challenges and barriers
* Cultivate trust‑based client relationships
* Identify and address client business issues through root cause analysis and pragmatic, results‑driven problem‑solving techniques and creative insights
* Use a human‑centred approach to solve problems, frame opportunities and achieve innovation through collaboration and co‑creation
* Own streams of complex work that meet client expectations on delivering value‑centric, data‑driven outcomes
* Provide specialist advice and work closely with client leads and team members to deliver project outcomes
Qualifications
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
* A minimum of 2‑5 years’ consulting experience in a National Security environment
* Analytical problem‑solving skills and continuous improvement techniques
* Strategic thinking skills and the ability to bring insight to complex problems
* Business Analysis
* Project Management
* Portfolio Management
* Product Management
* Programme Management
* Delivery Management
* Ability to operate at all stages of a project/programme lifecycle, from proposal through to full programme delivery, and experience managing risks and working with senior client partners
* Working with data in the design or delivery of consulting services in National Security
* Working with technology to design or deliver transformation in National Security
* Strong interpersonal skills
Set yourself apart with:
* In‑depth understanding of National Security landscapes you have worked in
* Experience owning and managing relationships with leadership
* Training in Agile methodologies, programme or project management techniques (e.g. Prince2, Managing Successful Programmes) or a Design Thinking practitioner
* Exposure to a current technology (e.g. a Cloud platform, a CRM platform)
* PowerPoint and Excel skills
