GSL Education are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Primary School Supply Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Derby.
As a Primary School Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers across different classrooms, assist pupils with their learning activities, and help maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
Responsibilities of a Primary School Supply Teaching Assistant:
* Support the class teacher in delivering lessons in line with the primary curriculum
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils who require additional assistance
* Assist with classroom preparation, including organising learning materials and resources
* Encourage pupils’ participation and engagement in classroom activities
* Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
* Support classroom behaviour management in line with school policies
* Assist pupils with their learning tasks and classroom activities
* Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support pupil progress
Requirements of a Primary School Supply Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is desirable
* A patient, supportive, and positive approach to working with young learners
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to adapt to different classroom environments
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
