Shan creates content focused on business strategy, the creator economy, entrepreneurship, personal growth, sharing his insights across YouTube and Instagram.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Were looking for a social‑first Social Media Manager to take full ownership of Shans personal channels and help grow them. This isnt a scheduling role. We need someone who genuinely understands what attracts and retains an audience, is obsessed with formats and trends, and can define how Shan should be showing up on short‑form platforms.
Shan drives the strategy but you are the expert in what works on social media. Youll bring the ideas, set the direction on formats and execution, and make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes: content is planned, produced, scheduled, and published consistently, the team is held accountable, and the channels are growing.
The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on social media experience, whether thats from branded content, agency, personal branding or creator accounts, and a deep understanding of what performs on Instagram and other short‑form platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Strategy and Growth
* Identify and define the content formats and approaches that will grow Shans channels and attract the right audience.
* Stay ahead of trends, platform changes and emerging formats and bring a constant stream of ideas on how Shan should be executing them.
* Own the content direction for short‑form, ensuring everything published is optimised for discovery, engagement and growth.
Content and Calendar Management
* Own and manage Shans content calendar across Instagram and YouTube.
* Ensure all content is planned, briefed, reviewed, approved, edited, scheduled and published on time.
Editing and Publishing
* Edit and publish short‑form content directly using EDITS (in‑app editing tools) this is a core part of the role.
* Repurpose long‑form content (YouTube, podcasts, interviews) into Reels, carousels, stories and platform‑native posts.
* Schedule and publish content across all platforms.
Community and Research
* Manage comments and DMs across all platforms.
* Research other creators and relevant accounts to identify content opportunities, trends and what Shan should be posting.
* Manage Shans following strategy, identifying the right accounts to engage with strategically.
Cross‑Team Coordination
* Act as the central point of contact between Shan and the wider content team: video editors, graphic designers, scriptwriters.
* Brief team members on upcoming content requirements, deadlines and platform specs.
Reporting and Analytics
* Produce weekly social analytics reports covering key performance metrics across short‑form platforms.
* Interpret data and translate it into clear, actionable decisions that drive channel growth not just reporting numbers, but knowing what to do with them.
* Track progress against growth targets and consistently look for ways to improve performance.
ABOUT YOU
* You are social‑first and genuinely obsessed with short‑form content, formats and trends.
* You understand what attracts and grows an audience and can define how a creator should be executing on that.
* You know how to read analytics and, more importantly, what actions to take from them to drive growth.
* Proven hands‑on experience managing short‑form social media content; background in branded content, creator or agency environments all considered.
* Comfortable editing and publishing content directly using EDITS and native in‑app tools, particularly within Instagram.
* Experience working alongside video editors, graphic designers and other creative team members.
* Strong ops mindset: you build systems, hold others to timelines, and take ownership without being chased.
* Deep familiarity with Instagram and short‑form content platforms, including platform‑specific best practices, formats and algorithms.
* Genuine interest in entrepreneurship, the creator economy and personal brand content.
* Experience repurposing long‑form video content into short‑form clips and platform‑native formats.
