Established in 1999, my client is a customer-focused planning, environment, and design consultancy with extensive experience in adding value to a range of development schemes. They work with various building materials, minerals & waste,mercial and residential clients amongst others.
It's an exciting time currently, they are looking for an experienced Environmental (EIA) Consultant to join their team and support on a range of schemes.
Their other departments offer various environmental services that work closely together to give aprehensive service to their clients including; Ecology, Environmental Permitting and Landscape Planning.
Your new role
Y ou will play a crucial role in managing and delivering environmental assessments for a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors, including minerals & waste, residential,mercial and industrial developments, with most being the former. These developments are particularly interesting and can range in length.
Some examples are quarry extensions, auxiliary developments, processing plants, cement works, solar power schemes. Otherwise, they can be large-scale residential ormercial sites.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the preparation of EIA screening and scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and supporting documents.
2. Provide expert advice on environmental impacts and mitigation measures, ensuringpliance with relevant legislation and standards.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing bespoke advice to help them achieve their goals.
4. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and other environmental specialists, to integrate environmental considerations into project designs.
5. Ensure all deliverables meet high-quality standards and adhere to rigorous quality management procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
6. A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
7. Membership with a relevant institution
8. Extensive experience in environmental consultancy, with a strong understanding of UK environmental and planning legislation.
9. Proven ability to manageplex projects and coordinate inputs from various technical specialists.
10. Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
11. Strong project management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
12. Amitment to continuous professional development and innovation in environmental assessment practices.
