Objective of role
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Assistant Locality Manager to work within our Teddington and Twickenham Locality Team.
We are looking for positive, experienced, social work managers who share our values and commitment. We are offering this opportunity to candidates who are passionate about improving the lives of residents and want to support staff to provide excellent standards of social work.
The teams consist of Assistant Service Managers, Senior Social Workers, Social Workers and Social Care Assessors who provide a holistic, personalised, strength-based service to residents over the age of who have physical disabilities and older people with physical and mental health disabilities.
About the role
Your primary duties will include:
1. To facilitate service user choice and empowerment through promoting independence and strength-based practice to enable residents to maintain their independence and local community connections for as long as safely possible
2. To assist with the management of budgets, ensuring that processes and procedures are carried out in a timely and effective way within available resources
3. To undertake statutory intervention when people are at risk or may be neglected or abused. This will include chairing Section Safeguarding Adults Enquiries.
4. To provide operational and motivational leadership of staff, promoting a positive working environment with the primary aim of delivering high quality services
5. To manage the team’s performance to achieve the Department’s vision.
