Role: Project Finance Officer Salary: £28,138 - Band 4 Location: Head Office Main office at Belfast Working Hours: Fulltime35hrsperweek Contract: Fixed Term, 2 years (subject to funding) DisabilityActionisthelargestpan-disabilityorganisationandcharity in the UK and Ireland. We are a Disabled persons led organisation (DPO) advocating for the rights of Deaf and Disabled people. We provide services which are developed for and by disabled people. Theseservicesinclude:employmentsupportservices,humanrights and independent advocacy, campaigns, community integration and digital connectivity, transport, information and advice, mental health and wellbeing and disability specialist support. The post holder will play a key administrative role in supporting young learners on the Skills for Life and Work (SfLW25) programme. They will manage finance-related records, track attendance, process payments, and maintain qualification records in line with internal and external requirements. Using tools like Excel and Microsoft Teams, they will ensure accurate data management and support the timely submission of monthly claims, acting as a key point of contact for learners and ensuring compliance with funder and organisational protocols. ThesuccessfulcandidatewillreportintotheFinanceData& Management Information Lead. Key Responsibilities The responsibilities of the Project Finance Officer will include: Finance & Record Management MaintainaccuratefinancerecordsforallSfLW25 participants. Trackandprocesslearnerpayments,includingtraining allowances, travel, and bonus payments. UseExcel,Teams,andinternalsystemstomanagefinancial data. Support monthly financial claims in line with DA and funder requirements. Learner Support & Administration Actasthefirstpointofcontactforlearnersregarding attendance and payments. Recordandmonitordaily/weeklyattendance,leave,and absence data. Ensure learners receive timely financial support to sustain engagement. Qualifications & Compliance Maintainup-to-daterecordsoflearnerqualificationsand outcomes. EnsurecompliancewithDA,OCNNI,City&Guilds,and funder protocols. Input data accurately into TAMS and internal databases in real-time. Audit & Quality Assurance Supportinternalandexternalauditswithaccurate documentation. Workcloselywiththefinanceanddeliveryteamsonquality improvement. Participate in regular self-evaluation and compliance reviews. General Duties Followagreedcorporatequalitystandardsandbest practices. Carry out other duties as required in line with the role. Essential Criteria At least two years in a finance related or similar role, with experienceofcreatingandmaintainingaccurateinformation and data for the generation of claims and invoices for payments. Knowledge and professional experience of using various IT packages and software to record, review and report on diverse information and data, inparticularstrongskillsin respect of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Teams etc. The ability to demonstrate excellent written & oral communication skills including the ability to work with disabledpeopleandothers,whilstexhibitingsensitivity, empathy, compassion and understanding. Adherencetodataprotectionregulations,suchasGDPR, and strict confidentiality protocols Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Professionalisminhandlingsensitiveandconfidential information Strongorganisationalskillswithkeenattentiontodetailfor accurate record-keeping and data management Abilitytoprioritiseandmanagemultipletaskswhilemeeting deadlines Collaborative team player with the ability to build positive working relationships Desirable Criteria Arelevantfinance-relatedqualificationorawillingnesstowork towards/achieving this qualification or similar. Relevantexperienceinqualityandcomplianceprocesses,to meet organisational, funder and legal requirements such as equality legislation, GDPR etc. Knowledge of programmes that assist young people to achieve their career goals and aspirations.
