About the role

This role primarily covers Central Scotland and requires a self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will work on a range of products from the Draeger Safety portfolio and maintain the company's Rental Robot portfolio across the UK.

* Perform workshop examination, testing, servicing, repair, and calibration on Draeger portable gas products, including pre-rental preparation of Rental Equipment, meeting client deadlines.
* Visit customer sites in the Grangemouth area to perform routine maintenance or repairs on Draeger equipment.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards, keeping work areas clean and tidy, and assets in good condition.
* Support Draeger TAR shutdown activities.
* Maintain an accurate, auditable ATEX register.
* Ensure repairs are completed within the agreed turnaround times.
* Complete all product and process training as directed by the Contract Manager.
* Follow all mandatory technical procedures, including testing certificates and service manuals.
* Prepare technical repair reports as required by customers.
* Complete service orders accurately for quotations and invoicing.
* Report spare parts usage accurately to maintain stock levels.
* Follow health and safety regulations in the workshop at all times.
* Proactively improve workshop efficiency and safety.
* Understand COSHH requirements within the workshop.
* Handle tooling correctly and safely.
* Be flexible to support other repair tasks as needed.
* Support planned and unplanned shutdowns, including occasional out-of-hours and weekend work.

Reporting Relationships

Manager: Grangemouth Contract Manager

Team Size/Environment: Small team supporting INEOS contracts, covering portable gas detection across Scotland, including shutdown support.

Your Qualifications

Role Requirements

Education/Qualifications

Preferably qualified in electronics, electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering, or relevant experience with a desire to learn.

Related Experience

Experience in inspection and repair of fixed and portable gas detection equipment and shutdown management is preferred.

o Team player but capable of working independently.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Diplomacy and tact.
o Full driving license.
