Role outline: The Fleet Assistant is responsible for the monitoring and maintaining of company vehicles, and making sure that they are in good shape to carry out their functions. Responsibilities: - Manager maintenance and servicing requirements. - Manager fleet tracking and monitoring. - Ensure fleet and asset compliance with government regulations. - Maintain, and monitor FORS accreditations. - Participate in external audits when required. - Take preventive measure to ensure safety of vehicles and drivers too. - Manage, track and arrange payments of fines and penalty notices. - Manage toll accounts and vehicle additional to portal. - Monitor, record, and report when required from company tracking system. - Manage and track vehicle MOTS. - Make sure that all vehicles are properly registered; carry out inspection on regular basis. - Take part in different workshops and/or programs to keep up with new trend in the industry. - Monitor and track fuel purchases by administering fuel cards for all vehicles to their respective drivers, tracking spends.-Communicate with GEL managers and employees about delivery status on vehicles.-Manage, monitor, tag, and arrange servicing, calibration, and repairs to company assets. - Data input into company systems for asset hire.
