Littelfuse R&D is seeking a R&D Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development semiconductor products. In this role, you will contribute to product mechanical design, coordinate development activities, and support cross-functional teams to ensure successful product modifications and launches.
This role is based on-site in Chippenham and reports directly to R&D Manager.

* Support the product development through product mechanical design and modifications
* Translate customer requirements into product specifications
* Coordinate product development activities to ensure successful design and launch of new products
* Support process engineers, RnD engineers, and stacks engineers in the product modification activities
* Prototype, simulate, and test designs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
* Drive innovative technical solutions to complex challenges
* Manage relationships with global stakeholders, both internal and external
About you
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* At least 4-5 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer
* Skilled CAD user (preferably SolidWorks)
* Strong knowledge of materials (e.g., silver, copper)
* Creative thinker with a passion for innovation
* Proactive self-starter, eager to learn and apply new concepts
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Previous experience of working in the power electronic industry would be an advantage.
