Senior Software Engineer (Python/Django) – Location: Nottingham (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)

The Role
* Design, develop, and deploy backend features using Python and Django.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build intuitive, high-performance solutions.
* Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code across backend systems and APIs.
* Contribute to application architecture and microservices design.
* Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
* Ensure reliability, performance, and security across all backend services.
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of commercial experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python and Django.
* Proven track record of building scalable web applications and APIs.
* Experience with application architecture and microservices.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
* Proficiency with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
* Understanding of Agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
* Passion for solving real-world problems through technology.
