About the Role

We are looking for an experienced housing professional to join our South West Housing Partnership team on a fixed‑term basis for 13 months, covering a patch in the Somerset area, with flexibility to cover other patches as required. The ideal candidate will be within a commutable distance to the patch. Our housing partners manage a patch of up to 600 properties, delivering a proactive tenancy and property management service, as well as responding to customer enquiries as appropriate. The closest office is in Yeovil, which you will be required to attend for training, team meetings and team collaboration days, but we also have an agile working policy so you can work from home or other locations between customer appointments.


Key Responsibilities

* Deliver a range of tenancy management and neighbourhood services, collaborating with key colleagues across the organisation and developing relationships with other local service providers.
* Sustain tenancies and ensure neighbourhoods are clean, safe and a place where customers want to live and thrive.
* Be visible and approachable, understand local issues, and take accountability for the quality of homes, neighbourhoods and services provided by Abri.


Qualifications & Experience

* Hold a CIH Level 3 housing qualification or be committed to enrol within the first year (paid by Abri).
* Working experience with customer management systems and proficient IT skills.
* Experience managing challenging situations and influencing difficult conversations with customers to achieve positive outcomes.
* Experience with legal housing management processes, managing breaches of tenancy, and taking cases through the court process.
* Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload within key performance service targets.
* Experience developing and maintaining cross‑departmental and multi‑agency working.
