A market-leading listed organisation within the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a growing division within the business. The role is based in Alfreton (with hybrod working), and it is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, ambitious business where people are genuinely valued and finance plays a critical role in operational decision-making. Reporting to the Head of Operational Finance, you will be a senior member of a high-performing finance team, with responsibility for financial and management reporting across key operational divisions. You will act as a trusted business partner to senior operational stakeholders, helping drive performance, manage risk, and support strategic initiatives. Responsibilities: Act as a strategic finance business partner to your area of responsibility Full P&L ownership for a growing subsidiary, including month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting Identify and analyse risks and opportunities to support delivery of annual targets Lead financial appraisal and cost tracking for strategic projects Develop deep operational knowledge of manufacturing processes, becoming a key point of reference Deliver insightful performance analysis for internal and external stakeholders Key skills / qualifications: CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant Experience within a manufacturing or operational environment SAP or IFS systems experience advantageous (financial and production modules) Confident working with operational teams and translating activity into financial insight Proactive, positive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively Benefits: Competitive salary package 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays Healthcare Cash Plan Life Assurance at 3x annual salary Enhanced maternity and paternity benefits Christmas shutdown If you are an experienced Accountant looking to step into a commercially focused, value-adding role within a progressive business, we would be delighted to hear from you.
