Project Engineer / Project Manager - Waste & Recycling Equipment
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: Dependant On Experience
Hours: Days - 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
We are supporting a long-established engineering business in the waste and recycling equipment sector with the recruitment of an experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager to join their growing technical team in Middlesbrough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in engineering projects, machinery installation, or equipment design and delivery to take ownership of varied projects from concept through to commissioning.
The Role
Lead and manage engineering projects from start to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
Define project scope, objectives, and requirements in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
Apply root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee cost control, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Develop and maintain detailed project documentation and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety standards, and industry best practice.
Communicate effectively across departments and with customers to ensure smooth project delivery.
About You
Background in engineering and project delivery, ideally within waste handling, recycling, or capital equipment sectors.
Relevant engineering qualification or degree (mechanical or electrical preferred).
Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Knowledge of health and safety (NEBOSH or similar) is advantageous.
Confident working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
