A warm and welcoming nursery in Heaton is seeking a Nursery Assistant to join their team in the 6–18 month old room. Location: Heaton Start Date: ASAP Position: Full-Time – Nursery Assistant (6–18 Month Old Room) About the Role: Support the care, development, and wellbeing of children aged 6–18 months Assist with daily routines, including feeding, nappy changes, sleep times, and play activities Help create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for babies and toddlers Engage children in sensory and developmental activities aligned with the EYFS framework Work closely with the room leader and wider nursery team Build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families What We’re Looking For: A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years (or working towards one) Experience working with babies or toddlers in a nursery or childcare setting A gentle, responsive, and child-focused approach Good knowledge of EYFS for children under two, and understanding of safeguarding procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
