Serco - Great Western Hospital Permanent, Full Time (Mon – Fri 8:00 – 16:30) Up to £55,000 per annum Corporate Benefits Package Serco is seeking an experienced Building Fabric Manager to lead and manage the Fabric Estates team at Great Western Hospital. Working as part of the Serco Estates Team, the role is accountable for the delivery of all building fabric operations across the estate, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, contractual obligations, and best practice standards. This is a key leadership role within our Total Facilities Management contract, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of building fabric services across a busy acute healthcare environment. What you’ll do Lead and manage the in-house Fabric Trades team Plan and deliver PPM, reactive maintenance, and minor works Ensure statutory and fire compliance (Fire Doors, Dampers, Compartmentation) Manage CAFM records, audits, and contractor performance Ensure Health & Safety compliance and safe systems of work Attend client meetings and represent Serco professionally Support wider Estates and Soft FM teams to meet KPIs What you’ll need Recognised apprenticeship or Level 5 / HND qualification (or equivalent) Proven experience in a similar building fabric or estates management role Strong knowledge of building fabric, compliance, and H&S legislation Excellent people management and communication skills Experience in a healthcare environment (desirable) NEBOSH and Authorised Person experience (desirable – training provided) What we offer Up to 6% employer matched pension contribution 21 days annual leave Public Holidays All Leisure Employee Benefits (moreleisure.com) Free on site car parking Additional pay for Authorised Person duties (up to £2,000 p.a.)
