An opportunity has arisen for a Macmillan Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist – Gynaecology based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
The Macmillan Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) provides holistic care and support to patients and their families with gynaecology cancer. Specialist nursing advice and care is provided throughout the patient pathway (including diagnosis, chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy and end of life) with the ACNS acting as a key worker as well as a core member of the multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who seeks to further develop their skills, experience and career

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will be a registered nurse with current NMC registration.
Developed individual, educated to degree level or equivalent experience
You will require appropriate experience (Gynaecology + Oncology) and advanced communication skills and a passion for quality patient care. The ACNS would be expected to either have or undertake a relevant Post-Graduate Diploma.
