Children's Residential Support Worker – Horizon Care and Education
Horizon Care and Education is a leading provider of residential care and education for young people in the UK. We are looking for a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Support young people with daily life within our homes, including hobbies, social activities and friendships.
* Help young people develop new skills and continue existing interests.
* Provide day‑to‑day care, creating a safe, homely, therapeutic environment.
* Assist with daily routines such as preparing for school and ensuring healthy, balanced meals.
* Ensure a safe, relaxing space for young people in the home.
* Facilitate stimulating activities and consistent care to foster development and new opportunities.
* Build meaningful relationships and ensure safeguarding needs are met.
* Collaborate with other professionals and contribute to care planning.
Qualifications
* Full UK Manual Diving licence is essential to be able to take our children to school appointments and activities.
* Ability to be a great role model to our looked after children.
* Ability to build trusting relationships.
* A genuine care and compassion to work with looked after children.
* Flexibility to work shifts that include evenings, weekends and sleep‑ins.
* Willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification in Childrens and Young People Workforce.
