A rare opportunity has arisen to appoint a permanent Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Tickton CE Primary School.
This post will suit someone who has some working knowledge of commercial catering, however, experience is not essential if we find the right team player.
The post is for 18hrs 45minutes per week, term time only plus 2 training days (to be allocated at the start of each academic year). Working hours each day will be:
Monday: 9:30am to 1:45pm
Tuesday: 10am to 1:45pm
Wednesday: 10am to 1:45pm
Thursday: 10am to 1:45pm
Friday: 10:30am to 1:45pm
The ideal candidate will desirably hold, or have attained in the past a level 2 Food Hygiene qualification. They will have some knowledge of special dietary needs or be willing to attend the necessary courses to gain the appropriate knowledge and skills.
The job involves assisting the Cook with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals (including a range of special dietary requirements) to the children and staff at the school, in accordance with: -
* Current Food Safety regulations.
* School Food Standards.
* Health & Safety regulations.

* Capable of carrying out cleaning in the kitchen to a high standard.
