Your Role
The successful candidate will be a valuable member of our team and have the following relevant experience:
4. Fault finding, and carrying out repairs
5. Undertaking Vehicle maintenance, servicing and running repairs on a varied fleet
6. Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company Operators Licence guidelines
7. Ensure all repairs to company vehicles are carried out in a timely manner
8. Preventative Maintenance
9. Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard
10. The ability to work to the highest Health & Safety standards
Your Skills
In order to be considered for this role, applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
11. City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, although qualification by experience will be considered.
12. Previous experience of working on coaches and buses such as Volvo, Scania, Optare, Mercedes and Dennis
13. PCV licence preferred but not essential (prepared to go through test) must have full driving licence with no more than 6 points to attend roadside
14. Have proven Diagnostic skills and Electrical experience
15. Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience as a HGV or PSV Technician / Mechanic
16. Carry out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles to DVSA standard
Other information
17. £20 per hour for candidates with PSV or HGV. Training can be provided.
18. 45 hour week.
19. 28 days Annual Leave
20. Monday to Friday early 0500 – 1500, days 0730 – 1730
21. Saturday morning and on call are based on a rota
