Job Title: Forklift Engineer Location: Aberdeen (and surrounding areas) Employment Type: Full-Time Overview: An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled and motivated Forklift Engineer to join a long-established and respected team within the material handling industry. This hands-on role involves the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of forklift trucks and associated equipment across both workshop and customer sites. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and carry out mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs on various types of vehicles and material handling equipment Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance Conduct thorough inspections and safety checks in line with industry standards Accurately complete job cards, reports, and service documentation Work on-site at customer locations as required, delivering a high standard of customer service Assist in the preparation and setup of new or refurbished equipment Respond promptly to breakdown calls and carry out efficient fault finding and repair Requirements: Proven experience as a forklift, plant, or HGV engineer (or similar mechanical role) Strong knowledge of diesel, LPG, and electric-powered equipment Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively Full UK driving licence (essential) Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, C&G, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential if you have hands-on experience What's on Offer: Competitive salary based on experience Company vehicle and tools provided Opportunities for training and career development Company pension scheme Supportive team environment with long-term stability Work Location: Primarily based in Aberdeen, with travel to customer sites as required.
