What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Administrator - Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team within Adult Social Care REF: Middlesborough 5270100 Pay rate: £13.26 per PAYE Enhanced DBS is required for this role, please include details with your application The role: On behalf of a local council, we are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team within Adult Social Care, covering a six-month period of maternity leave. The post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Key Responsibilities: The role involves accurately entering confidential data onto the social care record system in a timely manner, answering telephone calls from the people who use the service, their families, health and social care professionals, creating documents and sending these by hybrid mail and secure email. Under the instruction and guidance of the DoLS Team Manager and Senior DoLS Administrator, the post holder will be expected to provide administrative support to the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (MCA/DoLS) legal process. The postholder will be extremely busy due to the high volume of referrals received daily. What the client is looking for: Previous administrative experience, ideally within a social care team Ideally previous experience of providing administrative support in relation to Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (MCA/DoLS) legal process.
