We're currently recruiting for a Portfolio Risk Manager to support our West Brom Homes team on a 12 month contract. This is a wholly owned subsidiary of the West Brom, which consists of a portfolio of over 800 residential properties in the private rental sector.
This role is focussed on managing the risks associated with the property portfolio. The individual will support the other WBH team members in managing the governance of the relationship with the outsourced managing agent as well as being involved in other projects (e.g. implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives).
What the role will look like:
Proactively identifying and managing the risks associated with a portfolio of over 800 properties.
Monitoring the condition of properties and implementing the rolling plan of proactive repairs and maintenance.
Address any emerging risks in properties and conducting root cause analysis of any issues in order to identify any process improvements.
Assist with handling complex property issues.
Mandate holder for instructing repairs and maintenance work.
Support the West Brom Homes Directors and wider team in managing the relationship with the outsourced managing agents and supporting the property disposal and acquisition process.
Key stakeholder at the Management Review Board. Will create regular MI and prepare and present board papers where necessary.
What you will bring to the role:
Previous experience of managing residential properties. Preferably of portfolios with more than 500 properties.
Possess suitable qualifications in residential property management and lettings, e.g. CeLAP, NRLA Level 3, IRPM Level 3 or equivalent.
The ability to work independently and focussed on delivering good outcomes for both tenants and the business.
Excellent planning and organisation skills.
Strong administrative and IT skills.
