Role: Youth Voice & Participation Worker
Hours: 30 hours per week (flexible working options available)
Salary: £28,202 - £30,826 (pro rata £22,866 - £24,994) + 6% pension
Location: Community Base, Brighton (with hybrid/home working options)

We’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Youth Worker to take a leading role in our Youth Participation Team, supporting young people to take control of the services they need. Your role will be pivotal in developing innovative, youth-led projects that challenge inequality and amplify the voices of young people from diverse backgrounds.
What you’ll do
•Empower young people by co-creating projects that put their ideas into action.
•Build a culture of activism in North and East Brighton, working with a team of dedicated youth workers and volunteers.
•Champion equality by ensuring our services are inclusive, safe, and driven by the young people we support.
•Collaborate with communities, local authorities, and partners to create meaningful change.
•Lead and innovate, helping to pilot new projects and shape TDC’s youth work strategy.
We’re looking for someone who
•Ideally has a Level 2+ youth work qualification (JNC recognised) and experience working with young people.
•Is passionate about tackling inequality and has a proven commitment to equal opportunities.
•Thrives in participatory youth work, with skills in community organising or activism (desirable).
•Can organise projects, manage risks, and inspire teams with energy and creativity.
•Loves building relationships and working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
