Town Planner - Remote Working

Location: Fully Remote (UK-Based)Salary: Competitive, DOE + BenefitsJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded planning consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering expert planning advice across a diverse range of development projects throughout the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking a motivated and ambitious Town Planner to join their expanding team on a fully remote basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional looking to work on a varied portfolio of projects while benefiting from genuine flexibility, autonomy, and long-term career development.

The Role

As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in supporting clients through the planning process, providing strategic advice, preparing planning applications, and engaging with key stakeholders to secure successful outcomes.

You will work across a broad spectrum of developments, gaining exposure to residential, commercial, mixed-use, and strategic land projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparing and managing planning applications from inception through to determination.
* Producing planning statements, appeals, and supporting documentation.
* Undertaking site appraisals and planning research.
* Liaising with local authorities, consultees, and stakeholders.
* Providing planning advice to a diverse client base.
* Monitoring planning policy changes and legislative updates.
* Supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex projects.
* Attending meetings, hearings, and public consultations where required.

About You

The successful candidate will possess:

* A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
* MRTPI status or working towards chartership.
* Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or development environment.
* Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong report-writing and project management abilities.
* The ability to work independently in a remote environment.
* A proactive and commercially minded approach.
