Equans is seeking a Dayshift Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position, averaging 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
The successful candidate will be involved in maintenance and minor works services, covering a wide range of mechanical equipment servicing large industrial units such as dual-fired boilers, heating, and ventilation systems.
Responsibilities include:
* Fault finding on complex medical gas systems, pressure heating water systems, critical systems, and pressurized steam systems.
* Utilizing cause-effect analysis and detailed examination to identify solutions, using relevant drawings and schematics.
* Performing planned preventative maintenance, inspections, commissioning, and testing, and completing all necessary reports and test certificates.
* Using all relevant tools and equipment safely, in compliance with EQUANS guidelines and safety protocols.
* Working with analytical test devices, specialist tools, workshop fixed equipment, portable electrical tools, welding equipment, emergency generators, and medical gas equipment.

Candidate requirements:
* Recognized Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship
* C&G, Scotvec (SVQ3), or equivalent qualification
* Ability to pass a DS Basic check
