This is a key role combining both technical estimating and end-to-end project management, offering excellent variety and responsibility.The Role You will be responsible for managing fire system projects from initial enquiry through to completion, while also producing accurate and competitive quotations.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & DesignPrepare detailed quotations, tenders, and specificationsInterpret client requirements, drawings, and site surveysDesign and price fire alarm systems (conventional & analogue addressable)Estimate additional systems such as: Emergency lightingPA/VA systemsNurse call systemsDisabled refuge & alarm systemsPresent proposals to clients where requiredProject ManagementManage fire installation projects from handover to completionSchedule works and coordinate installation engineersMonitor project progress and ensure delivery aligns with timelines and construction programmesLiaise with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleManage variations, additional works, and project changesEnsure correct materials are ordered and deliveredTeam & Operational ManagementOversee installation engineers and support day-to-day requirementsApprove timesheets and manage holidays/absenceProvide technical support to engineers and internal teamsAssist with planning workloads and department prioritiesCommercial & AdministrativePrice works orders, call-outs, and variationsPrepare documentation for invoicingHandle customer queries and complaints professionallySupport audits and external inspectionsSystems & SoftwareMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Bespoke internal systems (training provided)Purchase Order systems and alarm monitoring databasesOn-Call / Duty Roster Participation in an escalation rota for emergency call-outs (as required).About YouProven experience in fire alarm systems (design, estimating, or project management)Strong technical knowledge of fire and associated systemsExcellent organisational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesCommercial awareness and accurate estimating abilityProblem-solver with a practical, hands-on approachPackage & Benefits£45,000 - £65,000 salary (depending on experience)Company vehicle (with fuel/expenses support)Company mobile phone and laptopPension scheme (auto enrolment)23 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service)Company credit card for expensesPPE and uniform providedAdditional InformationWorking hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30Security screening required (including DBS and employment checks)Equal opportunities employer
