This presents an opportunity to design a data strategy aligned with the organization's goals and implement the delivery of data effectively. D&I enables SJP to leverage value from its data through actionable insights and data‑led decision making.
The Data Architecture, Platform and Engineering (DAPE) Division integrates architecture, platform and engineering to establish guidelines, principles and development standards for building a secure, resilient data platform for the future.
It plays a key role in supporting the SJP data ecosystem, driving towards the SJP data strategy and advancing the decommissioning roadmap.
Role
You will be responsible for undertaking root cause analysis and transforming data analysis into meaningful technical specifications for onward development. You'll direct workstreams across projects, providing oversight, coordination, and technical leadership to secure successful data delivery.
What you'll be doing
* Deep diving into data using root cause analysis to produce meaningful data
* Manage changes to project requirements, ensuring they are clearly understood and delivered effectively by your team.
* Engage early with new initiatives, helping build scope and objectives so data impacts and dependencies are fully understood.
* Work closely with Project Managers to ensure Agile epics and stories are well defined and tracked through to delivery.
* Ensure projects are scoped, initiated, and prioritised in line with organisational and change control processes.
* Support smooth handover of project deliverables into Data Operations, with clear ownership and support models in place.

We seek an experienced Data Engineering Analyst who is at ease in a high‑speed setting. You will contribute significantly to ensuring decisions are guided by data to advance our strategic goals.
You work cross‑functionally, communicate clearly, and balance technical detail with business needs. You're comfortable crafting data solutions and supporting teams through delivery.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Experienced in root cause/data analysis
* Snowflake and SQL coding experience
* Ability to explain complex technical topics to non‑technical audiences, including advising when a technical approach may not be appropriate
* Strong collaboration skills, with experience building effective working relationships across multiple business areas
* Working closely with data engineering teams, ensuring requirements are clear and complete before development begins
* Experience working collaboratively alongside Product Managers, Business Analysts, Testers, and Developers, following project lifecycle guidelines
Desirable Experience
* Familiarity with Agile delivery approaches such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean
* A solid grasp of data quality principles, including accuracy, consistency, validity, and integrity, and the value high‑quality data brings to the organisation
