Overview
South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Catering Assistant to provide catering and cleaning services in schools and council facilities. Responsibilities
* Prepare meals within recipe guidelines and undertake hygiene work practices related to the storage, preparation, cooking and service of food.
* Clean food production areas, equipment and utensils.
* Assist with the preparation and service of meals in accordance with service standards.
* Complete any required questions as part of the application process on a separate sheet and upload with the application.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience in catering or related roles is desirable, with transferable skills and attributes applicable to this post.
* Ability to follow hygiene and safety protocols and work within a team setting.
* The role is regulated under safeguarding provisions; candidates may be required to join the PVG Scheme prior to a formal offer and must meet disclosure requirements.
