A dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant is required for a part-time role supporting students with a range of individual needs, including special educational needs (SEN), disabilities, and other barriers to learning. Key Details
* Start Date: Immediate
* Working Pattern: Mondays and Fridays each week (2 days per week)
* DBS Requirement: Must have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be prepared to obtain one prior to starting
Role Overview
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure students are supported both in and out of the classroom. The role involves delivering tailored assistance to individuals and small groups, enabling students to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs
* Assist in preparing and delivering lessons, adapting resources to meet student requirements
* Support students with personal care where necessary, including toileting, feeding, and mobility
* Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment in collaboration with staff and families
Person Specification
* Must be immediately available to work every Monday and Friday
* Must hold or be willing to obtain a DBS certificate on the Update Service
* Should demonstrate patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting young learners
