As the successful candidate you will be an integral part of the Vascular Ultrasound team providing clinical and administrative support to facilitate the day‑to‑day running of the department. You will have a significant impact on patient care and outcomes, assisting clinical vascular scientists in routine and urgent vascular testing, as well as independently performing basic vascular tests.
We are a small, friendly unit working as part of the hub of the Dorset and Wiltshire Vascular network to provide a diagnostic service to 9 vascular consultants. We also support a DVT clinic, an acute stroke in‑patient service and a TIA clinic.

Full‑time position; part‑time hours may be considered for suitable candidates.
Base location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital
Responsibilities
* Support the vascular ultrasound team in delivering the diagnostic vascular service at Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
* Work directly with patients, providing care and assistance in the examination rooms.
* Perform and report basic diagnostic investigations, namely Ankle‑brachial pressure index (ABPI) measurement using hand‑held Doppler.
* Document clinical data, organise in‑patient scans, and manage telephone queries.
* Order stock and carry out other associated administrative duties to support the team.
* Enter into a weekend working rota.
* Communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
