Main duties of the job
To provide continuing management, leadership and development responsibilities to ensure the effective delivery of clinical/evidence-based practice by the team for a diverse group of patients, their families and carers, in accordance with quality practice and procedures. Ensure all performance management and clinical governance arrangements are in place.

The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), to be deducted from salary over the first 2 months of employment. Job description and responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Perinatal Community Mental Health Team, a county-wide service providing care to women and their families in the perinatal period. The post requires someone who enjoys working in multi-disciplinary teams and is creative, adaptable and responsive to service needs. The role is suitable for someone passionate about working with women and families, with values aligned to the organisation, including compassion and a person/family-centred focus. Experience in this area is welcome but not essential.
Responsibilities include maintaining service quality in line with NICE and RCPsych CCQI standards, overseeing the team caseload with attention to waiting times, managing referrals and workload allocation, and supervising clinical staff within the Perinatal CMHT (nurses, nursery nurses, PSWs and social workers).
You will collaborate with Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychology Lead and allied health professionals from Midwifery, Health Visiting and GP services to provide holistic, evidence-informed care. The post holder will help train colleagues in recognising mental health needs and making appropriate referrals, and will support the Service Manager in reporting to NHS England, Commissioners and internal quality systems and governance. The role includes participation in the First On Call rota for the Specialist Services Care Unit.
Requirements include driving for business purposes (a current UK driving licence and vehicle) unless a disability applies under the Equality Act 2010.
