Group Director of Total Reward

Middlemore are currently working with a global client to hire a Group Director of Total Reward to lead the design and execution of an integrated total reward strategy with a core focus on incentive plan design.
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this high-impact role is responsible for shaping performance-driven compensation models that include equity-based rewards, Performance Share Unit (PSU) schemes, and tokenised incentive structures. You will also oversee the wider Reward and Benefits strategy for this global business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Incentive Plan Design: Create and implement innovative equity and performance-based compensation plans.
* PSU Implementation: Design a scalable and strategic PSU scheme to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, developing adaptable reward structures across varying business models.
* Governance & Compliance: Ensure global compliance across all reward programs, working closely with legal and financial advisors to manage risk and governance.
* Education & Communication: Develop clear communication frameworks to demystify complex reward structures and foster employee understanding and engagement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience designing and managing complex incentive and equity compensation plans in PE/VC or portfolio company environment.
* Strong knowledge of market trends, compensation benchmarking and blockchain and token-based reward systems.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop data-driven compensation strategies and models.
* Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
* Previous experience in the use of Tokenomics in incentivisation vehicles is desirable, but not essential.
