As an Environmental Apprentice, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting and advancing our business's environmental performance. Alongside your full-time apprenticeship role, you will complete a Level 6 - BSc (Hons) Environmental Science and Management with a University (TBA).
What you will be doing?
1. You’ll work as part of the Group Sustainability Function to support the Group Environmental manager to ensure all sites and farms are operating to legal compliance and environmental performance.
2. You will assist in the group internal audits of ISO and ISO for all sites/farms.
3. You’ll contribute to making sure all sites/farms have the support they need from an Environmental compliance point of view.
4. You will help to the wider sustainability team when and where needed to help drive Cranswick’s ‘Second Nature’ initiative.
5. You will develop and maintain relationships with site environmental teams.
6. You will be at part of the group sustainability team pushing environmental initiatives across the group.

Requirements
7. You should have a minimum of two GCE A2-level passes (or equivalent), including a Science subject; and five GCSEs at grade Cor above (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics. You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.
8. Good computer skills with experience using Microsoft packages
9. Strong communication skills needed to deal with customers, suppliers, auditors, and internal departments
10. Be able to work independently or as part of a small team
11. Full driving licence and vehicle access (desirable)
