DCHS Children's Services offer an opportunity for an SCPHN Health Visitor to be part of Health Visiting Teams based in the Bolsover locality. There are various Health Visitor roles based in Bolsover, Shirebrook or South Normanton. SCPHN qualification and current registration is essential.

Main duties of the job
* Deliver the Healthy Child Programme to the 0–5 population and their families.
* Develop therapeutic relationships with clients and work within complex family situations to provide family‑focused evidence‑based care.
* Manage a defined active caseload and take responsibility for safeguarding children issues within that caseload.
* Provide services in collaboration with partner agencies, statutory organisations and the voluntary sector; identify and act on the public health needs of the 0–5 years to improve service provision and outcomes.
* Prescribe according to assessed individual need from the Nurse Prescribing Formulary.
* Support and line‑manage the skill mix team.
* Mentor pre‑registration and SCPHN students and provide preceptorship to support new staff members.

Person Specification
* RN or RM
* HV Qualification – Degree, Diploma or Certificate
* Nurse Prescribing
* Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Post registration study
Experience and Knowledge
* Knowledge of national and local health priorities and related publications
* Demonstrated leadership on evidence‑based public health activities
* Demonstrated partnership working with stakeholder services
* Experience working with families where there are safeguarding concerns
* Experience mentoring students in practice
