Inside Sales Manager
Location: Crewe
A growing, specialist electronics and engineering solutions business is looking to appoint an Inside Sales Manager to lead and evolve its UK inside sales function.
This is a newly created role with a clear mandate to bring together multiple teams into a single, high-performing and scalable commercial operation. The business operates in complex environments, supplying solutions into sectors such as aerospace, defence and advanced engineering.
The opportunity
You will take ownership of an inside sales structure and shape it into a cohesive function that supports wider commercial growth. Working closely with regional sales, product and operations teams, you will improve processes, visibility and overall performance.
This is an opportunity to build something rather than inherit a finished model. The environment is evolving, collaborative and requires someone comfortable driving change while keeping teams engaged.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and develop an inside sales team, creating a unified structure across sites
* Improve quotation, CRM, forecasting and sales administration processes
* Drive consistency in ways of working across teams and business units
* Increase pipeline visibility, data quality and forecasting accuracy
* Support cross-sell activity and broader account development
* Take ownership of lower-value opportunities to support field sales focus
* Introduce scalable processes and reduce manual inefficiencies
* Contribute to the evolution of sales operations and commercial processes
What we're looking for
* Experience leading inside sales or commercial support teams in a complex environment
* Strong background in process improvement across CRM, forecasting and sales workflows
* Comfortable operating in evolving or low-structure organisations
* Proven ability to lead change and bring teams together
* Strong stakeholder management skills across sales, operations and product functions
* Commercially aware with a focus on performance and outcomes
* Experience in technical or engineering-led sectors is helpful but not essential
