A specialist SEN school in Sunderland is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join their experienced team.
This provision supports pupils with a variety of complex needs including SEMH, Autism, speech and language difficulties and learning disabilities. The school promotes a holistic and nurturing approach to education, placing pupil wellbeing at the centre of everything they do.
Key Duties:
* Planning and delivering personalised learning experiences
* Supporting emotional and social development
* Managing behaviour positively and consistently
* Creating a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom
* Supporting pupils with transitions and routines
* Working collaboratively with families and professionals
The successful applicant will:
* Hold QTS or equivalent
* Have experience within SEN or specialist education
* Be nurturing, patient and resilient
* Have excellent communication skills
* Be passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
