*Summary*
We are seeking a Registered Children's Manager to join our solo children's home in the Birmingham area. Due to the needs of the child living at the home, this job is suitable for females only.
In this role, you will lead our aim of ensuring a high quality therapeutic home, ensuring that a trauma-informed approach in all aspects of care supports and cares for children who have experienced trauma, neglect, or attachment disruptions, focusing on creating a safe and nurturing environment for healing and growth.
*Responsibilities*
* Ensure that care plans and risk assessments are reflective of the needs of the child lviing in the home
* Ensure that care provided to the child is safe, nurturing and reflective of our trauma informed approaches
* Ensure that staff feel supported and valued in their vital role of safeguarding and meeting a child's needs.
* Lead, mentor, and supervise staff to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
* Ensure that leadership within the home reflects the values held by Forte Care
* Monitor the progress of children in our care, adapting strategies as necessary.
* Foster a nurturing environment that promotes emotional and social development for children and the staff team.
* Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in child care.
* Conduct regular training sessions for staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
* *Qualifications*
* A minimum of two years recent experience of working in children's homes
* Proven experience in management or deputising within children's homes
* Strong understanding of child development and complex needs.
* Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
* Ability to create effective care plans based on individual assessments.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to children's residential services.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant qualifications in social work, childcare, or management preferred.
